Q how long can I make this pendant? I have 9' ceilings. Can I order extra rods?

The Kichler Lighting Eileen 1 Light Mini Pendant in Brushed Nickel 3497NI comes with (2) 6" and (2) 12" downrods which allows for an adjustable height from about 15" to roughly 45". Additional downrods can be purchased to allow for a longer hanging height.

Q How does the rod connect to the canopy? doesn't show on the photo. Does the rod screw into the canopy or is there a chain?
